Water Street Brewery - Milwaukee, WI

Last brewery stop of the day was Water Street.  They were located right at the corner of the restaurant we had dinner at, AJ's Bombers, so it was perfect. The whole area here was nice, lots to see and it was nice to walk around.  We hit up Lucille's Piano Bar afterwards which was only about a 10 min walk I recommend doing that after if you like live music.  But moving on...Water Street was really packed, most likely the dinner crowd.  We got a spot at the end of the bar in the corner and ordered a sampler.
-The Belgian Wit Seasonal was nice, Octoberfest was eh and malty, Amber was decent but plain, Pale Ale not bad, Honey Lager was light not bad, Munich Lager decent, Bavarian Weiss not bad, and Raspberry Weiss was fruity but almost too fruity.
-The setting was fun, no IPA which sucked, very crowded, but it's in a nice area of town so I would recommend stopping in for a quick drink but none of the beer was very special unfortunately. Check them out..www.waterstreetbrewery.com

Lakefront Brewery - Milwaukee, WI

After running out of Stonefly we thankfully made it to Lakefront with some time to spare (but not much). Thankfully the place was PACKED And they were staying open til like 5. From the outside this place is huge. Inside, the taproom is massive, but apparently it's also used to host parties.  They do tours which seemed popular, and have a nice sized gift shops with lots of unique stuff, they sell their own beer also in bottles.
-We tasted the Wheat Monkey which was really good, ESB was pretty good, Wisconsin Weissebier was smooth and not bitter, River West Amber was good and the Fixed Gear Red was good. It wasn't on tap but I bought a six pack of the IPA and it was really good.
-All in all it was a quick trip, but the guys were really nice and we actually had good conversation with them.  I highly recommend checking out Lakefront, take the tour if you'd like but remember with the exception of Fridays they close at 4:30 everyday! We almost forgot we made it. Check them out...www.lakefrontbrewery.com

Stonefly Brewery - Milwaukee, WI

Our next stop was Stonefly. It is hard to give this place a really thorough review. We were only there for about 15 minutes because we got there RIGHT when they opened so it was DEAD and the workers were still prepping their stations, plus I realized at that point that our next brewery stop (Lake Front) was about to close soon. So we downed our drinks and headed to Lake Front which was only minutes away.
-The Lager Lager had a weird smell tasted decent, Brown was okay, Stout was interesting not bad, Session IPA was good, and the Mousy Ache Ride Pale was good.
-Stonefly seems like a solid fun place to drink and hang out, the neighborhood I felt was a little sketchy but I was just going by the fact that no one was in sight and it wasn't the cleanest of streets.  This brewery is so close to the others that it's worth checking out but the beer didn't do anything for me, plus no stickers or coasters was a shame, and don't show up right when they open it felt awkward just being in there felt unwanted. Anyway check them out for yourself..www.stoneflybrewery.com

Horny Goat Brewery - Milwaukee, WI

Next stop was the Horny Goat Brewery. Located in an industrial area, this may be top 3 BIGGEST breweries I've been to. The taproom seemed to be under construction, or maybe just closed since it was so nice outside, because they have a giant oval bar outside under an awning.  This bar could easily sit about 40 customers. Then they have about 40 tables scattered throughout.
-They have a boardwalk to walk along the water, lawn games including cornhole and giant Jenga.  They also have 3-4 sand volleyball courts set up under a giant tent.  Our waitress knew a lot and told us they can fit up to 2,500 people, especially they also have concerts! And apparently they're already planning expansions.
-They had a good size merchandise stand set up when you first walk in.  One thing I will complain about is the price of their 6 packs was like 20 or 25$ but only about 12$ in stores..whats up with that?
-As for the beer we tried a good amount...Watermelon Wheat was tasty and tasted like watermelon but not overpowering, Saison was eh, Hopped Up n Horny IPA was good, Prince Albert Double IPA was okay but bad aftertaste, Choc Cherry Stout was good not great, Horny Blonde smooth and nice, Exposed was plain, Coconut Porter was nice.
-All in all this place would be a great local hang out. Their beer is good but nothing special, but volleyball courts, concerts, lawn games, and TONS of space makes for a pretty impressive spot to drink.  Check them out for more info..www.hghideaway.com
