Next stop on Day 2 of Grand Rapids was another brewery outside of Grand Rapids and it is called Saugatuck. This place is pretty out there...not much around it. We went around 1:30-2 pm and there was 2 other people there so needless to say it wasn't hard finding a seat. We sat at the bar, in which there was plenty of seats to choose from. Good sized brewery, with roughly about 20-25 tables. We did not eat here, just did a sampler.
-They didn't have a ton of beer to choose from. But we got a sampler as usual. The Oval Beach Blonde was decent, Bonfire Brown wasn't bad, Fortunate Events IPA was real tasty and hoppy, Hop in Your Rye was tasty and pretty strong, Neapolitan Stout was interesting..you'd get very faint tastes of all the Neapolitan tastes, Singapore IPA was tasty.
-All in all I am glad we visited this brewery. The locals had recommended it the night before and it was a cool place. The bartender Sarah was very nice and friendly, they had a few merchandise items like t-shirts, a glass and posters. Apparently they also have the Brew it Yourself on premise where you pay and can create your own beer and bottle it which is always a fun thing to do. But if you're in Grand Rapids and have time to kill take the drive and have a drink...saugatuckbrewing.com/
