After 2 great days in Chicago, next stop was Milwaukee, WI. On the way, our first stop was at St. Francis Brewery which is a giant brewery about 30 minutes south of Milwaukee. This brewery was very big, as you can see from outside.
-The decor was really neat, place was clean, they had a giant bar, plenty of dining tables and our waitress was really nice. We did not eat here.
-As for the beer we did a sampler of course, the Sloth Nut Brown was tasty but nothing special, Wrath Amber was mild with not a lot of bite, Lust Weissbier (very good from the girlfriends point of view since she drinks Weiss beers), Kolsch Golden Ale was light and tasty, Envy IPA was pretty good, Double Red was decent, California Common was tasty and Irish Dry Stout was eh.
-In closing, it is worth checking out on your way up to Milwaukee but I wouldn't go extremely out of your way to stop here. Nice staff, cool place, but as for beer it is just mediocre. Check out their taps and details..www.stfrancisbrewery.com
