Wagner Valley Brewing - Lodi, NY

Our next stop on Day 2 of the Finger Lakes Brewery Tour was Wagner Valley Brewing. Located on the main road along the lake, we passed what felt like 20 wineries. Wagner is also a winery. The place is huge with a restaurant next door. Upon entering you see a giant gift shop which you walk through, pass the bathrooms, giant windows that show the brewing tanks, walk by coolers of Wagner beer and finally enter the tasting room.

It was $2 to taste all the beers and the bartender seemed to enjoy what he does. A big group came in behind us so he basically did a tasting with all of us at once pouring beer by beer rather than giving us the all the beers at once.  During each beer he would explain the basics and talk about it.

Wagner was a beautiful place with an even better view.  The atmosphere is that of a brewery but the beers unfortunately fell flat with me.  Plus I couldn't find any place that had an merchandise for the brewery...only wine stuff.  I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, however it is located directly between Three Brothers and Two Goats which are both worth a visit. Feel free to check them out for yourself...www.wagnerbrewing.com/
